Life Mastery: Becoming the Woman God Can Entrust with More
Blog #3: Life Mastery: Becoming the Woman God Can Entrust with More
Series: When Doing God's Will Isn't Enough
Key Scripture: Romans 12:2
You've been faithful in small things. You've recognized your current season as training ground. But here's the question that makes it matter: Are you becoming the woman God can entrust with more?
We want the calling. We're ready for the assignment. We sense there's something bigger waiting for us. But God doesn't hand out Kingdom assignments based on our enthusiasm or our longing. He entrusts greater responsibility to those who've proven faithful stewardship in every area of life—not just the visible ones.
The Platform Problem
Here's what most of us miss: Your calling is like a rocket, and your life is the launch platform. A rocket can only go as high and as far as its platform is strong enough to support. The most powerful rocket in the world will fail spectacularly if its platform can't handle the pressure.
The same principle applies to calling. You can have incredible gifts, a clear vision, and genuine passion—but if your personal life lacks order, if your relationships are neglected, if your spiritual foundation is shaky, the weight of your calling will crush you rather than launch you.
This isn't about perfectionism. It's about stewarding what you already have with intentionality.
What Life Mastery Really Means
Romans 12:2 tells us: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will."
Notice the sequence. Transformation comes first. Then discerning God's will follows.
We get this backwards. We think if we could just figure out our calling, then we'd have the motivation to get our lives in order. But God works the opposite way. He develops our character, our disciplines, our spiritual maturity—and from that foundation, He reveals our next assignment.
Life mastery isn't about having a color-coded planner and a perfectly organized home (though there's nothing wrong with those). It's about stewarding your whole person—body, mind, soul, and spirit—in ways that honor God and prepare you for what He's preparing for you.
The Four Areas That Matter
Your body: Are you stewarding your physical health? Not to achieve some worldly standard, but to have the energy and stamina your calling will require? Neglecting your body now means struggling under the weight of responsibility later.
Your mind: Are you growing in knowledge and wisdom? Are you reading, learning, developing skills? Or are you coasting mentally, consuming without creating, scrolling without thinking?
Your soul: How are your relationships? Your emotional health? The quality of your thought life? Are you addressing wounds that will sabotage future opportunities? Are you building the emotional resilience calling demands?
Your spirit: This is your foundation. How's your intimacy with God? Your grasp of Scripture? Your prayer life? You can't lead others where you haven't been yourself. Spiritual depth precedes Kingdom impact.
When these four areas work in harmony—when you're caring for your body, developing your mind, tending to your soul, and deepening your spirit—you create a platform strong enough to launch whatever calling God has for you.
Do you believe God has given you all the time you need to achieve success – As He defines it – in every aspect of your life, at the same time?
The Renewal That Makes It Possible
Transformation begins with renewal, not busyness. You don't need to add more activities to prove you're serious about your calling. You need to bring order to what you already have.
This is why your current season matters so much. It's not just developing your gifts—it's developing you.
